As am I. I guess it's up to smart fans to write the missing fiction, assuming they stay in line with what's already set in stone. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's a fanfic that goes against the logic of the thing it's based upon.
I thank you for your kind words. It's indeed a shame that people forget about the look of a proper Mangai when they make him. I only hope this stays true to bith his spider form, and the look of his Mangai brother.
The pads are in fact not my idea, though I wish I could say they were. A guy from flickr provided me with the idea, and I kinda ripped it off.
I did too. And it bothered me that nobody else thought of making him look like a Toa Metru/Mangai like Lhikan. But now, at long last, after a year of planning and looking for and buying rare parts, Toa Mangai Nidhiki is done!
I definitely like your take on Toa Nidhiki. I especially like the modifications you did to the mask as well. I also like how you made his armor kind of break from the norm of the Toa Metru design, yet it still has that feel.
Great work, and probably one of the best Toa Nidhiki models I've seen in a while. And given you modified the mask, that's a plus.
Thank you for your kind words. In truth, I was looking to make the best Nidhiki out there. The armor was easy, and the idea came from some guy (I forget his name) on Flickr. The mask was hard. Not only due to the time it took to take the Mahri filter off, but to find it. I had to pay a whole dollar on Bricklink for it. But, words and compliments such as yours have made it all worth it. I thank you.
Yours definitely caught me eye and is probably the best I've seen. A lot of the ones I've seen either have something I like and ruin it with something I didn't like, or I just flat out didn't like them.
I know how you feel... With my upgraded Takanuva, I had to do a lot of cataloging of parts, experimenting, and ordering them (I did buy another Stars Takanuva for the mask and staff pieces). And then I had to paint some of the parts gold like the mask. So I do know how you feel, and your work has paid off. I do like how you've made the mask. I never really liked that Mahri filter on the mask, so I'm glad you modified the mask to omit it. Your fine work definitely paid off. You are most definitely welcome.
You are welcome once more. And yeah, it just made the mask look off. I understood for Nuparu, but with Mazeka I was kind of... sad. And yeah, the Ko-Matoran/Toa pull off the asymmetrical look much better. Plus I mean, Kopaka was the one who started it all.
